1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the GWO & STCW eLearning platform, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of Service

GWO & STCW eLearning is an online training platform providing:

• Online courses for GWO and STCW certification
• Video lessons and learning materials
• Quizzes and assessments
• Certificate issuance
• Registration in the WINDA database (for GWO courses)

3. Registration and Account

To use the platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your profile information up to date
• Keep your password confidential
• Not share your account with other individuals
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. Payments and Refunds

4.1 Payments

All prices are listed in the applicable currency for your region. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

4.2 Refund Policy

• A full refund is available within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not started the course
• A partial refund (50%) is available if you have completed less than 25% of the course
• No refund is offered after completing more than 25% of the course or after a certificate has been issued

5. Intellectual Property

All platform materials (texts, videos, images, software) are protected by copyright. You receive a limited, non-exclusive licence for personal use only. The following are prohibited:

• Copying or distributing materials
• Recording video lessons
• Sharing access with third parties
• Commercial use without permission

6. Certificates

Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the course and passing all required assessments. Certificates:

• Are valid for the specified period (typically 2 years)
• Are registered in the relevant databases (WINDA for GWO)
• May be revoked in cases of fraud or breach of these terms

7. Code of Conduct

By using the platform, you agree not to:

• Violate the laws of your country or applicable international law
• Use fraud during quizzes or assessments
• Share quiz answers with others
• Upload malicious software
• Attempt unauthorized access to the system

8. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the service
• Freedom from technical errors
• Specific training outcomes

Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant course.

9. Termination

We may terminate or restrict your access to the platform in cases of:

• Breach of these terms
• Fraud or misuse
• Non-payment
• At your request

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in the jurisdiction where the service is operated.
